AI operations for law firms

AI systems built for law firms.

UnderOath.ai helps firms automate repetitive work, respond to clients faster, and build more efficient operations without replacing the people or software they already trust.

What we do

An operations partner, not another piece of software.

UnderOath.ai helps law firms eliminate operational bottlenecks through secure AI automation, streamlined workflows, and documented systems. We identify where work piles up, build the workflows that clear it, write the SOPs, and train the team to use everything confidently.

Less administrative work

Repetitive steps between an inquiry and a signed matter run on their own.

Faster client responses

Every inquiry gets a real reply in minutes, on Friday afternoons included.

Operations that hold

Documented workflows and SOPs so the firm does not depend on one person's memory.

Where firms lose time

A small number of bottlenecks account for most of the lost time.

Inquiries go unanswered

A missed call after five becomes a client who has already retained someone else.

Matter opening drags

Engagement letters, conflict checks and file setup wait on whoever has a free hour.

Clients chase the firm

Status questions arrive because nobody promised the client an update on a schedule.

Documents arrive late

Collection is a chain of reminder emails that somebody has to remember to send.

Knowledge leaves with people

The way things are done lives in one paralegal's head, not in a written procedure.

Billing slips

Time entry and payment reminders happen when there is time, which is rarely.

Core services

Four areas. Built in the order that pays back first.

Client intake and follow-up

Every inquiry is answered the same way, in minutes, whether or not someone is at the desk.

  • Automated lead response
  • Intake questionnaires
  • Consultation scheduling
  • Missed-call follow-up
  • Lead qualification and routing

Internal operations

The steps between a signed engagement and the first substantive work, handled on their own.

  • Matter-opening workflows
  • Task and deadline creation
  • Document collection
  • Internal notifications
  • Billing and payment reminders

AI assistants

Drafting and summarising support that works from the firm's own material, with a person on the last step.

  • Internal firm knowledge assistant
  • Case and document summarization
  • Drafting support
  • Email and client communication assistance
  • Meeting transcription and action items

SOPs and implementation

Written procedure and hands-on training, so the systems keep working after we leave the room.

  • Workflow audits
  • Written and video SOPs
  • Staff training
  • Software integration
  • Ongoing optimization and support
Ongoing partnership

The audit is the start. The partnership is the work.

Automation that is installed and left alone stops matching how the firm works within a quarter. The AI Operations Partnership keeps the systems current: reviewed monthly, extended as the firm grows, documented as they change.

See what a partnership covers

Monthly review

We look at what the workflows actually did last month and where they drifted.

Continuous build

New automations ship as the firm grows, not as a separate engagement.

SOP maintenance

Procedures are updated when the process changes, so documentation stays true.

Team support

Staff can ask questions and get changes made without opening a ticket queue.

Monthly
Review cadence

A standing look at what shipped and what drifted.

Focused
Who we serve

Law firms, exclusively. No other verticals.

Human
Final approval

Anything that leaves the firm is sent by a person.

How it works

Five steps, starting with listening.

We start with an AI Operations Audit. It is a standalone engagement — the firm keeps the map and the plan whether or not we build anything.

Start with a free audit
  1. 01

    Operations audit

We interview attorneys and staff and examine how inquiries, clients, documents and internal tasks actually move through the firm.

  2. 02

    Map and prioritise

You get a map of current workflows, the largest bottlenecks, recommended automations, security and human-review requirements, and a prioritised implementation plan with estimated time and cost savings.

  3. 03

    Build

Workflows go live one at a time, inside the software the firm already uses, each with a defined human checkpoint before anything reaches a client.

  4. 04

    Document and train

Written and video SOPs for every workflow, plus hands-on training so the team runs the systems without us in the room.

  5. 05

    Optimise

Regular review, new automations as the firm grows, and SOPs kept current as processes change.

Security and oversight

Built for work that is privileged.

Automation in a law firm is only useful if it is defensible. Every workflow we build names what it can access, what it can send, and who signs off.

Confidentiality first

Client data stays inside the systems the firm already uses. We configure access; we do not relocate matters into our own tools.

A person on the last step

Anything that leaves the firm or touches legal judgement is drafted by the system and approved by a person before it goes out.

Written into the SOP

Every workflow ships with its review requirement documented, so the checkpoint survives staff turnover.

Where does firm data live?

Inside the practice management, document and email systems the firm already runs. We build workflows on top of those systems rather than moving matters into new ones.

What does the AI actually see?

Only what a given workflow needs. Access is scoped per workflow and documented in the SOP, so the firm can answer the question precisely if a client asks.

Can a client email go out automatically?

Only for the narrow, pre-approved categories the firm chooses — acknowledgements and scheduling confirmations. Substantive communication is always reviewed by a person.

What happens if we want to stop?

The workflows and the SOPs belong to the firm. Documentation is written so another provider, or the firm itself, can maintain them.
